Application
Procedures for Earmarking of Fund
Please follow the application procedures below when applying
for the earmarking of fund under the Funding
Scheme:
1. Identify
an English-language training course and/or course provider
appropriate for your company/employees. Please note that the
Funding Scheme DOES NOT provide any training
course or examination. [Remark

2. Choose
from a range of specified international business English examination(s)
for spoken and/or written English skill(s)
(please refer to Hong Kong Workplace English Benchmarks
- HOW DOES AN EMPLOYEE ACHIEVE THESE BENCHMARKS?).
If the selected course focuses on training in both written
and spoken English skills, employees concerned must attain
their benchmarks in both areas. Employees attending courses
focusing on improving their proficiency in either spoken or
written English are required to take the corresponding examination

3. Submit
the completed application form with photocopies of subscribing
employees' Hong Kong Identity Card and other supporting documents
by post or in person to:
Office
of the Workplace English Campaign (OWEC)
Room 1702, 17/F, Skyline Tower, 39 Wang Kwong Road, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon.
(Collection
hours: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 – 6:00
p.m., Monday to Friday)
(Please note that OWEC will NOT be responsible for any loss
of the document(s) in postal transit.)
(Please note that photocopies of the application
forms may also be used, if necessary.)
IMPORTANT:
The
Funding Scheme will stop receiving application from 31 January
2009. Application
forms must reach OWEC by 6:00
p.m. of 30
January 2009 (Friday) (mail applications will be
accepted based on the date of the postmark).
Late submissions will not be processed.
