The Funding
Scheme for Workplace English Training
subsidizes employers to commission in-house English training
tailor-made for their employees to attain the relevant
benchmark of their job type by taking any of the specified international business
English examinations.
Funding
is given to meet 50% of the employees’ English training
cost and examination fees, subject to a maximum of $3,000
per person. Approval for earmarking of fund
will be given to the applying company initially. Reimbursement
of funding will be released to the applying company only after
the employees concerned have attained the minimum
benchmark(s) in one of the specified international
business English examination(s).
Companies interested to apply for the subsidy are requested to submit their
application forms to the Office of the Workplace English Campaign on or before 30
January 2009 (Friday). Late applications will NOT be accepted.
