WEC has specified the following 23 international English examinations for individuals to assess their proficiency in English and hence the relative level of attainment in the Hong Kong Workplace English Benchmarks:
 
  • Business English Certificates (BEC) – Preliminary, Vantage, Higher
  • Business Language Testing Service (BULATS) – Computer / Standard, Speaking, Writing
  • English for Business (EFB) / English for Commerce (EFC)
  • English for Business (EFB) / English for Commerce (EFC) - Oral
  • English for Business Communications (EBC)
  • English for Office Skills (EOS)
  • English Language Skills Assessment (ELSA) – Speaking, Listening & Reading, Writing I/II
  • International English for Speakers of Other Languages (IESOL)
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – Academic Module only
  • International Spoken English for Speakers of Other Languages (ISESOL)
  • Spoken English for Industry & Commerce (SEFIC)
  • Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC)
  • Test of English for International Communication Bridge (TOEIC Bridge)
  • Trinity Graded Examinations in Spoken English for Speakers of Other Languages (Trinity GESE)
  • Trinity Integrated Skills in English Examination (Trinity ISE)
  • Versant English *with open questions
  • Written English for Tourism (WEFT)
