· New APIs on television and radio

The Workplace English Campaign(WEC) launched a new series of Announcement of Public Interest (API) on television and radio with the theme, "Better English, Better Prospects", to promote the importance of improving one’s English proficiency.

New TV and radio Programme "English Made Easy 2011"

The Workplace English Campaign has sponsored a new series of TV and radio programmes, “English Made Easy 2011”, to introduce some useful English expressions in various situations.

Produced by RTHK, the series will be launched in July 2011 with broadcasting schedule as follows:

Radio programme – Starting from 2 July, 9:00 p.m. on every Saturday on RTHK 2
TV programme – Starting from 13 July, 7:00 p.m. on every Wednesday on TVB Jade Channel

· Free collection of self-learning DVDs

Dr. Danny C. H. Leung, Assistant Professor of Department of English, The Chinese University of Hong Kong conducted a well-received workshop on the use of English in emails and letters.

Review of TV programme "English Made Easy 2010" (Episode 1-5)

The Workplace English Campaign sponsored a new series of TV and radio programmes, "English Made Easy", to introduce some useful English expressions in various situations.


· "Hong Kong Welcomes You" (2009 version)–in Chinese only

A radio-cum-video programme produced in support of the Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games to introduce some English phrases and vocabulary commonly used in receiving overseas visitors.

· Videos: "Understanding some common English errors and how to overcome them" by Prof. David Li

Prof. David C.S. Li of the Department of English, Hong Kong Institute of Education hosted two well-received workshops to discuss some English errors which are commonly found among Hong Kong Chinese users of English.
