What does
the Government want to achieve through WEC? |
 |
| |
A working population
proficient in English is the key to maintaining Hong
Kong's competitive edge as an international centre for
business, finance and tourism. The Workplace English
Campaign is a major Government initiative to heighten
public awareness of the importance of English competency
at work and to raise the standard of workplace English.
We hope that the Government's pump-priming efforts will
bear fruit through the sustained commitment and support
of the professional and business sectors, and from employees
and the community at large.
